in late Spring the Parent Association puts on a wonderful carnival for students, parents and staff. The carnival is a big fundraiser with tickets being sold for food and games. Two of our biggest attractions are the Faculty Dunk Tank where students get a chance to sink one of their teachers in the icy water and the RKA Faculty Band. This year it will be held May 6, 2016.
You Make a Difference Awards
In January and June, parents, students, and staff are invited to nominate another staff member, student or parent for a You Make A Difference Award which recognizes how the recipient "made a difference" in the life of RKA. Over the years we have heard some really wonderful and heartfelt ways in which people make a difference. Reach out to Julie Prince for more info. Our next deadline for nominations will be January 8, 2016.
In January, RKA hosts alumni, faculty, families and current students in a fun Homecoming Pep Rally, Faculty vs. Student basketball game and the actual varsity basketball game later that evening.
